'' We first met Ron at our wedding. When he was doing his sound check, we were immediately sold. What a beautiful voice!!! Unfortunately, before we got married we didn't know that he also wrote personal songs on demand. Shortly after the wedding, my husband celebrated his 40th birthday. To surprise him with a personal gift, I approached Ron. Initially to sing a song he had sung for us during the ceremony. Fortunately, he came up with a better idea himself. We could also create a personally written song, with a personal message in it. At first I found it difficult to provide the right input, but after some guidance from Ron we came out of it. It had to be that we met him at our wedding, because what a beautifully beautiful song he wrote for my husband. My husband recognized Ron's voice right away, but was so overwhelmed by the surprise that he listened to the song several times before he realized what beauty had been created especially for him. We are incredibly grateful to Ron for the unforgettable performance at our wedding and the incredibly beautiful song with a special message! Who knows, maybe someday there will be another opportunity for us where he can come and sing the song live for us. Ron we hope you write many more beautiful songs for yourself and others! '' S & L

"We met Ron when we were photographing a wedding. We saw and heard a lot through our work, but knew one thing for sure and that was that we really wanted to book Ron Hendrickx for our own wedding.   Since we both really appreciate music, I wanted to give something extra as a gift to my (then) husband-to-be, our own song as a surprise at the wedding. After providing input and some contact, Ron started writing. Since I was confident that this was going to be something good, I was super curious about the end result. Then there came the song. Since I didn't want to share it with anyone yet, I started listening to it through my headphones while walking the dog. Goosebumps. Tears flooded my eyes as I empathized with the lyrics, the music and how this would go down on the day. Even more beautiful than I had dared to hope!  Completely surprised, I announced the song on the wedding day. Homesick for this moment and the day we definitely have, but with our own song we can always go back to the feeling of the day. '' When I met Ron, he told me - with much modesty - that he also makes music. When I heard his music I was immediately his biggest fan! What a voice and what wonderful music.  When I got married, and was looking for something special during the ceremony for this day, I approached Ron. I had just been sick (breast cancer) and now we were going to celebrate not only love but also life. We asked Ron to write a song that was about us, but that everyone could relate to. Not too dramatic, but still the way it is. And in Dutch! That was perhaps Ron's biggest challenge. With less than an A4 full of input, Ron wrote our song in a very short time. He recorded a demo and sent it to me asking me to listen to it while we, me and my husband, filmed ourselves. We couldn't even keep dry for two sentences. This was just our song! Exactly as we had hoped, more beautiful than that even. It hit us in the heart and it was such a beautiful translation of that which we had experienced. It was perfect, it's...! It is extremely clever that Ron, based on relatively little input, knows how to translate it into a song. Not to mention that diamond of a voice... '' - Patty ​

'' Jolijn was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer back in 2019. The 'No Guts No Glory' foundation & Jolijn reached out to me to write a song for her. She was a big fan of Cookhouse. Especially the song 'Hard Times' was a song that really helped her and her friends to find strength in those difficult times. Jolijn's final wish was to celebrate life with friends & family all together in one place in the form of a party. My brother and I were asked to play the song I had written, live at the party for the first time for everyone to hear. Jolijn told me she always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. So we had decided to buy her one. A white one, so that everyone at the party could write their love for her on the guitar. We had recorded her song, 'Flowering Fields', with this guitar. Before we played the song live we gave her the guitar as a present and let her write down the first words on the guitar. We also played the song live on this guitar. Writing and playing for Jolijn was such an honor and such an unforgettable experience. She told me she loved the song and that it was exactly what she hoped it would be. It breaks my heart to say that Jolijn has passed away on October 30th 2022. She was a delight to be surrounded by. Such a beautiful, young and positive woman. I know I will never forget about her and the moments we've all shared on her final party.  I wrote 'Flowering Fields' for Jolijn, her family & friends. '' Some time ago I got to know Ron as a friend of my son Bernd. After hearing some songs by Cookhouse with Ron as singer/guitarist I was immediately sold. What wonderful music, intensity, lyrics and voice of course. Music you get stuck in and can't get it out of your brain. Fantastic! Of course we have since been to several performances. Live even more beautiful and dynamic. HUGE! On my birthday (04-01-2021) I gave a party for family and friends. And then I received the best present ever: Ron (with the necessary input from Bernd) had written a beautiful personal and emotional song for me to which they gave the name "GOLD". The lyrics and music went straight into and through my heart and the party guests were "flabbergasted" as well. When listening to music, you often try to identify with the song and lyrics. This gives many songs another dimension and you crawl into the music, so to speak. Well, I can tell you now that listening and experiencing a beautiful song written specifically for you by Ron surpasses all of this; the perfect choice of words, atmosphere and involvement makes it like an experience that cannot be surpassed and a "memory for life."
